Your Agenda Is My Agenda

         While I have been politically active for many years, I have no intention of being a career politician. I entered this race because our nation is headed in the wrong direction. Crisis is all around us. The poison-politics of the Bush-Miller team must be reversed. What is needed is change for the better!
As your Congressman, I will work to ensure that future generations of Americans are able to live the American Dream. I believe that future generations of Americans should have better opportunities than my generation had. Under Bush-Miller it's not working out that way. I will work to make a change for the better! I will bring the will of the people back to the House of Representatives. The politics of that august body have been tarnished by the Bush-Miller team. We as a nation must step away from the ruin they would push upon us. My agenda is one of change. My opponent's agenda is to change the subject.

End the Occupation of Iraq! Is the Bush-Miller team considering another war, a war with Iran? Endless war must stop! The cost of the war on Iraq is more than national bankruptcy, it's bloodshed without reason! The occupation of Iraq must end!
The Economic Crisis and National Debt! The National Debt continues to grow to record levels. The Bush-Miller team, along with past Congressional Republicans, have a shameful record of squandering our tax dollars!
Affordable Quality Health Care For All! Ever-increasing medical costs are devastating American families. Health care costs are killing American businesses and industry!
Preserving Jobs! We must stop the Bush-Miller team from exporting American jobs! Rewarding corporations for moving overseas is doubly bad! The Bush-Miller team is exporting our jobs!
Saving Social Security and our children's future. Save Social Security! Stop the privatization of Social Security! Bottomless borrowing to fund wasteful spending is placing our children's future in hock!
Improving National Security! America's borders are a sieve. National security priorities must be reset if we are to be truly secure!
The U.S. Auto Industry The U.S. Auto Industry is important to Michigan and the 10th Congressional District. I will work to level the playing field for the Big 3 and their supply base. As goes Detroit, so goes the nation!
Preserving Our Environment The Great Lakes Must Be Saved! The environment is a place we all live in! Throwing money at the oil industry is not an environmental policy!
A Real Energy Policy! Tax breaks for oil companies? Petro-profits are at record levels! The Bush-Cheney Administration called in the oil industry to make energy policy! Representative Miller voted the oil companies their every wish! The result? War-for-oil and higher fuel costs! We must develop an Energy Policy that works for Americans, not just for big oil!
